Chao Phraya river
Having come to Bangkok for the honeymoon and to pick up our actual wedding rings I had made in white gold and with our birthstones set in them we checked into the hotel Royal Orchid Sheraton at the Chao Phraya river. The views did not disappoint but the in house restaurant prices were staggeringly steep. No wonder there was a 7/11 in the corner and a makeshift street restaurant. We had our first dinner there and I overdid the chilies so next morning I had to pay for that on the throne.

As we were walking to our hotel from the train station we got in the middle of a celebration of a temple. I gather it was for starting new building projects as we could see demolition going on in the area.
